The flora is varied, it has a tropical
forest and a premontano forest. The forests
are always green (due to humidity) with
several trees. Among the trees there are
the robles and the encinos, also dear’s
horn, salvia and ratoncillo. These trees
are shelter for the native wild fauna.
Even though, Turrialba Volcano does not
possess a variety of fauna, it is most
visited for its amazing and beautiful
view. It is an area mostly appreciated
by the national and the foreign people.
It is very representative of Costa Rica’s
landscapes.
